The external accomplishments

Nothing predisposed me to so much travel. My parents were farmers in Brittany, France, and I was on scholarships for most of my studies. But the opportunities came, and I seized them.

I was 22 and finishing my master of chemical engineering in Montpellier, France, when I pioneered an exchange program with the National University of Singapore, where I completed a master’s in Science, a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology, and one year of postdoctoral studies.

I started my career with General Electric in its China Technology Center, Shanghai, where I led the building of research labs and the hiring of a team of scientists.  I was promoted to be the Alliance manager for a JV with a biotech startup in San Diego, CA, and then as program manager for GE security in Boston, MA.

After completing my Executive MBA at Columbia Business School and the London Business School, I moved over to the startup world. I spent a year in Africa consulting with a social venture and exploring a new solar business. I then spent 3 years in Dubai as the turnaround CEO of an education startup and co-founded and scaled an InsureTech startup globally.

In 2019, back in the US, I worked and consulted with digital health companies. In 2021, I combined my expertise and love for health, tech, science, and impact to found Akesa Health.

Healing, growth and transformation

I grew up in a family plagued by deaths, accidents, suicides, and abuse, where the norm was to forget about the past, and all traces of dead loved ones disappeared.

I was very good at toughening it up and ignoring past traumas to the point of also disconnecting from my intuitive, creative, and spiritual selves. Until the past came back crashing in October 2012 when I was finishing my MBA and launching a new business.

In parallel with my career, I embarked on a journey that took me to Africa, where I met shamans and reconnected with my spiritual self, and to Maui, HI, where I spent 18 months healing, writing, creating art that was exhibited, and coping with flashbacks waking me up screaming at night.

Eventually, with the help of talk therapy, EMDR, hypnosis, psychedelics, pranic energy healing, theta healing, kinesiology, and a few other modalities, I reconnected with life.

This journey taught me that the answer to our healing, growth and what makes us happy is not outward but inward. Our hearts and intuition know the path we need to follow. But reconnecting with this inner wisdom often means surfacing and dealing with buried pains we didn’t want or didn’t know how to tackle.

Integration

I’m both an analytical, scientific, logical, pragmatic left-brain, detail-oriented scientist and a creative, intuitive, holistic, big-picture right-brain person.

I’m both an extroverted social butterfly who loves to meet people and insightful conversations and an introvert who recharges in silence when I can meditate, write, reflect, and create.

I take a strategic, holistic, and energetic approach to life. I believe there are no coincidences in life, only events that our rational mind cannot comprehend yet. I am a big fan of chakras as a framework to explain body, mind, and spiritual connections.

Global

I grew up in France, and I have worked and lived in the US, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

I’m bilingual in English and French. I have some leftover knowledge from being fluent in speaking, writing and reading Mandarin Chinese. My Arabic is very basic and limited to doodling Arabic characters and deciphering street signs. My German is long forgotten.

I hold both French and US citizenship.

Services

There’s no moving forward without embracing the past and who we are. Our past actions explain where we are today. Today’s actions and the beliefs that lead to these actions create our future.

I consult with companies on topics such as strategy, business launch, and global expansion.

I work with individuals to support them in individuating, identifying, and transforming blockages, reaching their goals and potential, and living happier and more fulfilling lives.

Credentials

I hold a master's degree in chemical engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier, France, a master in science and PhD in chemical biology from the National University of Singapore, and a double degree executive MBA from Columbia Business School and the London Business School.

I am trained as a coach with IPEC, NY, in pranic energy healing and kinesiology and a certified theta healing instructor.

Where to find me

I live in Florida, but I am a true global citizen and work from pretty much anywhere.

Writing

I am finishing my first book, The Wave Broke Down My Fortress, a memoir about my journey with healing, entrepreneurship, spirituality, transformation, and finding in the silence I despised and created so much pain the solace and answers I was looking for, to be published in 2025.

Besides work

I love to swim, especially in the ocean. A 2-hour swim is quite common, and for me, it's pressing the reset button on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. I emerge from the water refreshed, happy, energized, and full of ideas.

I love spending time in nature. I have trekked up Mount Kilimanjaro, most of the US Western and Eastern national parks, and visited the Everest base camp on the Chinese northern side.

I am passionate and curious about people, the mind, neuroscience, holistic health, spirituality, and metaphysics.
